Facebook notifications are about to change and here's how it will affect you

Changes are set to be rolled out for Facebook’s notifications – and you may not like it.

The social network has been trying out a new-style notifications tab which gathers material from across the entire website and displays it in one place.

Mashable report that the changes will see things relevant to a particular day being displayed.

The tab will contain birthdays, life events from friends, events joined and nearby places such as local restaurants, which will be time sensitive, for example showing place open for breakfast.

In addition, the feature will show trending topics (similar to Twitter), viral news in your locality and today in the past, based on previous posts and pictures.

A ‘nearby friends’ feature will also show who is around your town or city at that moment.

Facebook have confirmed the plans saying they see ‘a notifications tab that adds additional, relevant content about everything that maybe helpful to know on a particular day’.

No timings for the changes have been announced but it will probably go live first in the USA before the rest of the world.

Here’s an example of the power that Facebook can wield, when a campaign for a dying boy attracted 500,000 pictures of dogs.

Blac Chyna says Tyga didn’t just text her out of the blue this week trying to get back with her … she says he’s been making that play for 7 months.

Sources connected with Blac Chyna reports … the text — in which he said “I want to be with u” — was the last in a flurry of texts, conversations and private face-to-face meetings in which he made his play to reconcile their relationship.

Sources close to Chyna says she never believed he was physically with Kylie Jenner — partly because she’s 17, and partly because they were all neighbors and close to the Kardashian family.  She says she believed Tyga when he called out the media for suggesting he was dating Kylie, but doesn’t believe it anymore.

Blac Chyna posted Tyga’s texts out of anger, but she claims she wants nothing to do with him anymore. It’s complicated by the fact that they have a kid together.

As for Tyga, he has never said he’s with Kylie and in the past has denied it … but he’s recently insinuated it, and even put it in writing.

The grin was probably the most genuine one his legions of followers have ever seen him wear.

And it is blatantly clear from the expression on his face that he knows he made the right decision.

We’re told Kim found the special “very emotional” but was crowing about how proud she was of Bruce and how positive the interview came off.
