Bobbi Kristina Brown's 'breathing tube removed as doctors forced to perform tracheotomy'

Bobbi Kristina’s breathing tube has been removed as doctors were forced to perform a tracheotomy, according to reports.

Whitney Houston’s daughter was found unresponsive in her bath tub at the end of last month, and has remained in a medically induced coma since.

But according to Radar Online, the 21-year-old’s condition has got worse and there’s now a risk she’ll never talk again after doctors performed a tracheotomy.

The procedure opens a direct airway into the patient’s trachea, where a tube is inserted allowing air to reach their lungs.

A source told the site that doctors “removed her breathing tube Tuesday because there were complications with it. They had to then do a tracheotomy and put a tube in that way.”

Fans, friends and family have continued to send thoughtful messages in for Bobbi, as her father Bobby Brown and close family remain by her bedside.

“She is still alive,” the source added. “Everyone is praying for her. She is young and she is strong. At the same time, everybody knows that she remains in a critical conditions.

“But there is no talk at this point about ‘pulling the plug.’”

A ‘medical profession’ told the site: “The longer someone is on a breathing tube via their mouths, the risk for infections, breathing problems just increases significantly.”

And a source told People magazine it is a “normal procedure”, adding: “Everything else remains the same. It’s a waiting game. The family is hoping and waiting.”

“She is still critical and we don’t know what the outcome will be,” the source added. “No one is giving up on this kid.”
