Bruce Jenner’s son Burt has slammed Jamie Foxx for his insensitive jokes about his dad at the iHeartRadio Music awards.
Last night, the Oscar-winning actor played host at the star-studded affair where he made a joke about the reality star transititioning to a woman.
Talking to TMZ, Burt said: “I think he is just copying Kevin Hart because Kevin Hart is taking all of his movie opportunities.”
He continued: “He is copying him. Man’s on a roll, you know? And Jamie Foxx is on the way down, so he’s gotta keep his mojo going. He’s gotta copy what’s working.”
Get Hard star Kevin Hart previously joked about Bruce’s transition while roasting Justin Bieber on Comedy Central that airs in the US tonight.
“[He made jokes] in front of my sister. He got a little lucky, because you can make jokes about my dad all you want, but you can’t make jokes in front of my sister and make my sister feel awkward,” Burt said.
“I would’ve charged the stage.”
Following his joke, Foxx was slammed for making cruel jibes about Bruce Jenner‘s sex change live on TV.
The 47-year-old singer-and-actor caused controversy in his opening monologue at the awards show at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium yesterday when he poked fun at the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and his transition from male to female.
Taking to the stage after performances from Iggy Azalea, Jennifer Hudson and Nick Jonas, the ceremony’s host said: “We got some groundbreaking performances here, too, tonight.
“We got Bruce Jenner, who will be here doing some musical performances. He’s doing a his-and-her duet all by himself…
“Look. I’m just busting your balls while I still can.”
The joke appeared to fall flat with the audience – which was expected to include Bruce’s daughter Kylie Jenner – failing to laugh and his remarks instantly attracted a barrage of criticism on Twitter.
