Jake Quickenden has admitted he’s fallen “hook, line and sinker” in love with Carl Fogarty’s daughter Danielle.
The pair were first rumoured to be dating several months ago, after the I’m a Celebrity star spent Christmas with his friend Foggy’s family.
There he met Danielle, 23, and the star has now opened up about the pair’s relationship – and just how he broke the news to his good friend.
Jake told The Daily Star Sunday: “I am hook, line and sinker at the moment. I can happily say it is love.
“To be honest, I couldn’t ask to meet a better person than Danielle. We get on so well and are both really happy.”
And he needn’t have worried about getting on with the in-laws, because Carl supported the relationship from day one.
“I didn’t really tell Carl or ask his permission. I was just round his house all the time and I think he thought ‘Why the hell is Jake here drinking my beer and eating all my food all the time?’” He told the newspaper.
“Then eventually we sat down and I told him I was serious about Danielle and wouldn’t hurt her.”
Carl reportedly said he couldn’t think of anyone better to date his daughter, and the happy singer admitted the whole family “love” him.
The X Factor star struck up a close relationship with his jungle co-star’s daughter, Danielle, following their return from Australia.
According to the Sun, their relationship took a romantic turn before Christmas, with the singer spending two days at the family’s Blackburn home.
A source told The Sun at the time: “They’ve grown very close and really like each other. They are taking it very slowly because they don’t want to ruin their friendship and he’s just come our of a relationship.
“He has been welcomed with open arms by the family and they’re having a lot of fun.”
Danielle told the Sun: “He keeps coming up to the family home. He’s part of the family now.”
